Organizational Goals
PURPOSE
•To
address significant issues of concern and gain resolution of these issues,
through frank discussion and commitment to change; to create
a system of goals that encourages and supports departmental and individual
contributions to their achievement; to enhance the effectiveness of the
executive group as the leaders of the organization.
•To create a mission statement that reflects the values and business philosophies of ownership and the executive group, which can be disseminated throughout the organization and gain the commitment of people at all levels.
•To clarify the roles and responsibilities of executive and middle management positions so that everyone knows what is expected of them, and when; to openly discuss and resolve issues raised by a confidential, pre-session, questionnaire, relative to operational and strategic factors.
•To learn why your executive group performs the way it does, positively and negatively, through results of the Profile Evaluation System, a job-fit, diagnostic instrument; to create a dynamic organization chart reflective of the functional needs of the organization with respect to authority, responsibility, accountability and communication.
•To create a system of goals for 12 to 18 months, in 8 key result areas common to all businesses, that takes into account the needs and desires of ownership and the executive group; to assign responsibility and accountability to appropriate executives and managers for accomplishment of these goals, and gain commitment to ongoing improvement in performance through strategic congruity and goal directed action.
PREREQUISITES
•Completion of a confidential, pre-session questionnaire and the Profile Evaluation System- group results will be presented and discussed at the session.
TIME & FACILITY
•Three to four days, (days 1 & 2 preferably consecutive), off-site, in a creative conference environment that encourages open discussion and provides opportunities for relaxed, effective resolution of critical issues.
